DAY 30- Darkness

Sitting, eating my left over Chinese food in the darkness of my half-room, I realize that eating is a largely visual experience.

Growing up I was always told that we taste through our nose, now I also believe it is linked to sight. As I jabbled at sweet and sour tomatoes and pineapples covered in sauce, I found myself unable to make the pleasurable flavor combinations that I so like to make when I can see what I am eating.

What a shame, what a shame.

Mean while, I'm catching a few rides tomorrow morning, and will hopefully arrive at the other side of the island in Waianae.
